Set Up a Coffee Bar When Staging Your Home

Coffee starts my day.  Every day!  Maybe it's in my blood.  My grandmother, now 92, claims to have started drinking coffee as a 7-year-old.  I suppose it was a warm treat on those bitter-cold North Dakota days on the farm.  Apparently she had mature taste buds ;)

I don't know about you, but if I don't have my coffee just the way I like it, my day is off.

So, for my fellow coffee lovers, I've put together a few choice coffee items that you can gift or use in your own coffee station in your home.

Christmas guests will love your well-stocked coffee station and perhaps a specialty drink like this simple Honey Coffee:

HONEY COFFEE

This Spanish inspired coffee drink is easy to make and an absolutely delicious way to surprise your holiday guests. Use French roast coffee for a rich and full-bodied flavor. Or if you prefer a decaf coffee option, opt for a dark roast decaf to give your Holiday Honey Coffee all of the same rich flavor without the caffeine.

*This recipe yields 4 servings*

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 Cups of strong-brewed coffee
  • ½ Cup of Milk (or milk substitute)
  • ¼ Cup of Honey (or sweetener of your choice)
  • ⅛ Tsp of Ground Cinnamon
  • ¼ Tsp of Vanilla Extract
  • Dash of Ground Nutmeg

DIRECTIONS:

In a saucepan combine strong-brewed coffee, milk, honey, cinnamon and nutmeg. Heat thoroughly over medium heat, but do not boil! Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Serve immediately and enjoy!

As for Grandma, she keeps things simple... hot and black is her request... any time of day and any time of year!
