For years I've helped other homeowners prepare for market. Now it's time to stage my own home!
In Part One of this series that I published last week, I went over the reason my husband and I are selling our home and the exterior paint transformation. If you haven't seen that post, you can get all the details here.
Our home is 2000 sq ft with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a two-car garage. No, it's not a modular ;). And no, I didn't choose the paint or kitchen colors, or any of the interior finishes. Only the furnishings are of my choosing.
Here's a look at it before staging:
With a Staging Punch List that my husband and I created together, three laborious weekends, and a lot of sweat (no blood and thankfully no tears), this was the result:
I think the result is impressive! I give a lot of credit to the photographer and also to my husband who compliantly completed each and every item on the Punch List.
Our daughters shared their opinions:
Brooklyn "I want our house to always look this way."
Raquel "The only problem with moving is that our house now is soooo pretty!"
I'll conclude this series next week by sharing how we prepared for each showing and the feedback we received. Stay tuned!
(Yes, we have a huge playground in our backyard that my amazing husband built from the remnants of Wagner Park in Aspen. It will be moving with us to our new home.)
